OFFICE OF THE COMMANDANT OF CADETS

  • Ensures character development, moral and spiritual growth,
  • Promote leadership potentials and physical fitness of cadets;
  • Instills self-discipline, professionalism, high ethical standards, doctrine of Command Responsibility and principles of Chain of Command;
  • Supervises the organizations, committees and activities of the Cadet Corps;
  • Ensure the Honor Code is uphold among the cadets;
  • Advises and mentors the cadets; and provides other services to the cadets.

Administrative Division

  • Plan, coordinate, manage, supervise, and implement all matters pertaining to personnel of Tactics Group.Assist and advise the Commandant of Cadets on human resource management and other administrative requirements.
  • Acts on all matters pertaining to attendance, leave of absence, recruitment, appointment, placement/assignment, promotion, training performance evaluation, awards and incentives, morale and welfare, discipline and other personnel transactions of Tactics Group.
  • Administer and manage pertinent records of Tactics Group personnel and Cadets.
  • Maintain personnel and cadet information system.
  • Formulate and implement directives, policies, guidelines, regulations regarding personnel administration.
  • Prepare and submit to Personnel Management Division (PMD) the human resource management plan and programs of Tactics Group.
  • Acts on matters pertaining to cadet’s appointment, declaration of graduates, dismissal, turn back and reinstatement of Cadets.
  • Plan, formulate, and implement policies on the utilization and management of Tactics Group Financial matters.
  • Manage and supervise the mess services of the Cadet Corps.
  • Plan, formulate, supervise, monitor and implement policies on the utilization and management of supplies and equipment of Tactics Group and the Cadet Corps.
  • Assist the logistics Management Division on the procurement and distribution/issuance of supply and equipment of the Cadet Corps.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.

Operations and Plans Division

  • Responsible for the overall implementation of policies, strategies, and directives.
  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, implement, supervise, and evaluate operational activities of Tactics Group.
  • Investigate incident reports pertinent to the non-compliance and/or violation of regulations and policies by personnel and cadets.
  • Plans, programs/projects and budgetary requirements.
  • Preparation of Annual Plans and Operational Budget (AOPB)/ Programs, Plans and Activities (PPA) in coordination of Chief of Offices and Finance Officer.
  • Preparation of Accomplishment and After Activity Reports.
  • Evaluation of programs/projects budgetary requirements.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.

Logistics Management Division

  • Responsible for the overall implementation of policies, strategies, and directives in the acquisition, issuance, management, and maintenance of equipment and property for Tactics Group and Cadet Corps.
  • Assist and/or advise the Commandant of Cadets in the overall management of supply and logistics.
  • Facilitate the issuance of necessary logistical requirements for personnel and the cadets.
  • Facilitate and initiate the logistical plans, programs, research, and development of supply, equipment, and uniform of the cadets.
  • Conduct inventory and management of Cadets’ uniforms, issued firearms, dorms, and other logistics matters of the Tactics Group and the Cadet Corps.
  • Prepare and facilitate pertinent communications on supply and logistics matters of Tactics Group and the Cadet Corps.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.

Training and Instructors Development Section

  • Responsible for the overall management and supervision of the training and development of instructors and faculty members for non-academics or tactics subjects;
  • Develop and maintain the non-academic or tactics standard of excellence on curriculum and faculty development.
  • Develop, update, and ensure the responsiveness of the non-academic curriculum of the cadets
  • Assist and/or advise the Commandant of Cadets in the overall management of training and development of the cadets and instructors.
  • Initiate, implement, and evaluate activities and programs necessary for the development of training and the instructors.
  • Conduct regular consultation with the instructors and faculty members on non-academic issues and concerns regarding the learning packages specifically on course objectives, instructional methods, course outline, schedule, learning Indicators, teaching materials, rubric for grading, evaluation techniques, and other projects for cadet development.
  • Facilitate faculty and instructor’s requirements relative to the conduct of classes or training.
  • Develop and maintain the standard of test materials, ensure integrity and correctness, reliability, accuracy, and validity of assessments/examinations of instructors.
  • Initiate training, programs, and seminars to equip faculty members/instructors to the changing nature of educational instruction and management;
  • Act as secretariat to the selection of instructors and faculty.
  • Consult regularly the Dean or the Commandant of Cadets on the different policies and guidelines needed in enhancing the academic performance of the cadets through departmental interventions.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.

Cadet Affairs Division

  • Serves as a liaison between cadets, faculty and administration and assists cadets in any way possible.
  • Leads, directs and administers overall functions of cadets counseling, billeting, cadets’ organizations and discipline.
  • Acts as a central place for cadets where they can express and get help about any problem, they encounter inside the Academy whether it is academic, personal or emotional.
  • Provides proactive support and capacity building services to promote co- curricular activities in the Academy which could enrich graduates at every stage of their life as they could build strong relationships with their peers, faculty, administration and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures implementation of the existing Cadet Guide, Memorandum Circulars and other policies, rules and regulations of the Academy.
  • Supervise the cadets’ daily activities, drills and ceremonies, academics and non-academics activities.
  • Implement the discipline and conduct of the cadets and evaluate the merit and demerit system of the cadets
  • Monitor the status and functions of the cadet officers, ruling class and all of the members of CCPNPA. Perform other tasks as directed.

Cadet Development Division

  • Initiate, implement, and evaluate activities and programs necessary for the dispensation of function of the department and its improvement.
  • Manage, monitor, supervise, and evaluate faculty members/instructors for non-academics/tactics subjects for the development of the cadets.
  • Assign faculty members, if applicable and necessary, to different committees’ instrumental in the improvement of the department in terms of academic/non-academic instructions as well as to implement authorized instructions from higher authorities.
  • Conduct trainings and seminars in order to equip faculty members/instructors to the changing nature of educational instruction and management.
  • Conduct collaborative researchers related to the functions of the department and centers with the purpose of enhancing the academic performance of the cadets and/or the system of instruction and its management.
  • Consult regularly the Dean or the Commandant of Cadets on the different policies and guidelines needed in enhancing the academic performance of the cadets through departmental interventions.
  • Supervise the implementation of the Honor Code/Honor System through the Cadet Honor Committee.
  • Manage, supervise, and implement all Leadership and Character Development courses in terms of syllabus, course description, and other inclusions in the Standard Learning Packages.
  • Spearhead co-curricular activities that would promote leadership and character building among the cadets.
  • Manage and supervise the CCPNPA Organized Groups/Clubs and organizations.
  • Coordinate with the Chaplain of the PNPA in terms of the religious undertakings of the Cadet Corps.
  • Spearhead co-curricular activities that would promote leadership and character building among the cadets.
  • Monitor the conduct of Aptitude and Conduct courses for the Corps of Cadets.
  • Formulate and develop programs and activities that will promote honesty and integrity in the Cadet Corps.
  • In-charge of the conduct and implementation of courses, seminars and training conducted during summer term, such as Special Counter-insurgency Operation Unit Training (SCOUT), Police Intervention Course (PIC), and other training courses focused on the development of skills of cadets in combat maneuvers, search and rescue to include police intervention techniques and other skills and knowledge needed by the future public safety officers.
  • Provide programs for faculty and cadet exchanges for other institutions of similar nature both locally or abroad.
  • Organize exchange programs, conferences, seminars, and other similar activities that would promote the linkages of the cadets for the purpose of developing their leadership potentials.
  • Initiate, implement, and evaluate activities and programs necessary for the dispensation of function of the Division for its improvement.
  • Establish linkages with other institutions in the development of the human kinetics program for personnel and cadets.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.
