The PNPA is under the direct supervision and administration of the Philippine National Police in accordance with RA 11279.

The PNPA shall be organized as reflected in the approved interim organizational structure and staffing pattern with some revisions and modification based on the existing needs of the Academy.

Latest PNPA Organizational Structure

The Command Group of the PNPA shall be composed of the following: (a) the Director, with the rank of Police Major General (PMGEN); (b) the Deputy Director, with the rank of Police Brigadier General (PBGEN); and, (c) the Chief of Staff, with the rank of Police Brigadier General (PBGEN), who shall direct and supervise, the different Support Staff and units of the Academy.

The PNPA shall maintain the Support Staff to perform administrative, operational, and other functions relative to their respective areas of interest.

The Academics Group shall be headed by a Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) with the rank of PBGEN who shall be referred to and known as โ€œDean of Academics”. The Academics Group shall administer and supervise the implementation of the academic components of the Cadetship Program.

The Tactics Group shall be headed by a Commandant with the rank of PBGEN. The Tactics Group shall be headed by a Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) with the rank of PBGEN who shall be referred to and known as โ€œCommandant of Cadets”. The Tactics Group shall be responsible in undertaking programs and activities of integrity and character development, moral and spiritual growth, promotion of leadership potential, and physical and motor skills of cadets; instill discipline and professionalism, adherence to high ethical standards, doctrine of command responsibility and principle of chain of command. It shall have supervision over the Mess Hall Guidance and Counseling Services. The Tactics Group shall maintain two (2) Divisions.

The Academy shall have its Academic Board composed of Deputy Director; Chief of Staff as the Dean of Academics; Commandant of Cadets; Chief, Plans, Programs, and Strategic Management Division; and Chief, Inspectorate and Legal Office. The Deputy Director shall serve as the Chairperson and shall preside over all its meetings.  In his absence, the Chief of Staff, as the Vice-Chairperson, shall act as the presiding officer and the rest as core members.

Cadet Admission Committee (CAC) โ€“ the CAC shall be the overall in-charge of the Recruitment, Selection and Admission Program of the PNPA in accordance with the appropriate policies. It shall recommend for approval the Qualification and Documentary Requirements for admission to the Cadetship Program; System and procedures in the recruitment and selection of new cadets; Final List of Cadet Candidates; and other matters related to selection and admission of cadets.

Honors and Awards Committee – The Honors and Awards Committee shall be composed of the Head Registrar as the Chairperson with the Admin Officers of Academics Group and Tactics Group, as members. The committee shall be activated at the end of the school year to determine from the final report of grades the appropriate recipient of honors and awards for the period. Final report of grades is submitted by the Office of the Registrar to the committee fifteen (15) working days after the final examination and conduct period of every class, except in the case of the graduating class which may be submitted earlier than the required deadline.  The Committee also recommends the promotion and advancement of the Cadets to the higher class and determines the appropriate awards for outstanding Companies for submission to the Board for deliberation and approval of the Director.
