The Information Technology Management Division (ICTMD) was created to offer the highest level of service in response to and meeting the information needs and computerization requirements of the Academics Group, Tactics Group, and the many administrative entities in the PNPA.
The ICTMD oversees, coordinates, and controls the IT environment scanning for administrative applicability in the academy, the development and provision of the academy's data resources (both computerized and non-computerized), computer and network facilities, information systems, and services, as well as the design and/or improvement of its processes and ICT facilities and capabilities, with the goal of ensuring that these services effectively meet the needs of the academy and the Philippine National Police.

Mandate
NHQ-PNP GO Number DPL-19-11 Para 6(f): Manage the website and maintains the ICT platforms and programs of the PNPA.
Organizational Structure
Manage the development of information Systems, Website and Database of the Academy.
Formulate, Implement, and review ICT policies and standards for the effective and efficient management of ICT resources of the Academy.
Formulate, implement, and review ICT-related academic curriculum for the Academy.
Provide technical support to computer networks, communication facility, hardware and devices of the organization.
Provide strategic plan for the enhancement of ICT infrastructure such as facilities, processes, system, network, and hardware for the Academy.
Ensure the effective and efficient administration and operation of ICT system in partnership with DICTM, ITMS and outsourced IT.
Provide ICT capacity-enhancement to PNPA personnel and conduct researches on ICT to make the Academy responsive to the current needs of the PNP and other public safety bureaus.
ICT Support Section
Provide ICT support during command activities and special events;
Operate LED walls, Public Address System (PAS), projectors and other output devices;
Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of ICT equipment and resources;
Conduct and maintain the inventory of PNPA ICT resources;
Manage the PNPA’s WAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure;
Assist in the setup and maintenance of PNPA’s camp CCTV;
Coordinate with DICTM, ITMS, CES and ICT providers regarding the efficient management and upgrading of PNPA ICT resources and
Perform other tasks as directed by the Chief, ICTMD.
Systems, Web and Database Development Section
Manage the online presence of PNPA that is assigned to ICTMD;
Administer the social media presence of the ICTMD;
Assist in the implementation of PNP information systems and database projects;
Propose or develop new information systems and databases projects for adoption; Perform other tasks as directed by the Chief, ICTMD.
Training, Research and Development Section
Formulate, review and implement ICT including cybersecurity, social media training programs for PNPA personnel;
Formulate, review and implement ICT academic curriculum for PNPA Cadets;
Coordinate with DHRDD, DICTM, ITMS, CES and ACG regarding availability of ICT trainings for PNPA personnel;
Conduct training needs analysis and skills inventory on ICT;
Conduct policy researches on ICT to ensure responsiveness to the PNP’s and other public safety agencies’ current needs;
Conduct awareness and P.I.C.E. on latest trends on ICT and PNP ICT programs
Perform other tasks as directed by the Chief, ICTMD.
Information Security and Plans Section
Assist in the preparation of accomplishment reports on ICT;
Implement PNP ICT plans, programs and policies;
Implement PNP information security and cyber security plans, programs and policies;
Conduct awareness and P.I.C.E. on information security and cybersecurity;
Prepare and submit UPER/ICER compliances;
Assist in the preparation of AOPB ICT requirements;
Prepare ICTMD presentations, briefings and documents;
Conduct P.I.C.E. on ICT matters;
Prepare and submit ICT project proposals inline with the PNP’s ISSP and
Perform other tasks as directed by the Chief, ICTMD.
