Silang, Cavite- The he Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) proudly announces its celebration of International Youth Day 2024 with themed โ From clicks to Progress, Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development on August 10, 2024 spearheaded by PMGEN SAMUEL C NACION, Director PNPA together with USEC RONALD GIAN CARLO L. CARDEMA, Chairman, National Youth Commission at Camp Castaneda, Silang Cavite.
International Youth Day, recognized globally on August 12 each year, serves as a platform to highlight the contributions and potential of young people around the world. This yearโs celebration at PNPA will emphasize the role of youth in driving innovation and building resilient communities.
The event was attended more or less 1000 participants from SK Federation Presidents of all provinces and cities, Cadets from the service academies and all ROTC Corps Commanders representing all the universities of the country.
The highlight of the celebration, the Friendship Games, showcased a series of friendly sports and team-building activities designed to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants. Teams composed of PNPA cadets and participants competed in various events, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, archery, frisbee, straw relay, sack race, tug of war, palarong pinoy and steel challenge, emphasizing teamwork and mutual respect.
The International Youth Day celebration were an incredible success, embodying the spirit of cooperation and unity that International Youth Day stands for. By bringing together youth from various backgrounds and fostering a sense of community through sports, we are reinforcing the values of teamwork, resilience, and mutual support. This celebration highlights the commitment to empowering the next generation and celebrating their achievements
