Ankara, Turkey – Among the 80 members of police training institutions worldwide, three distinguished delegates from the PNPA Academics Group, namely PLTCOL MARGIELYN J LOZADA, Department Head of Police Administration, PLTCOL IRENE G ABATING, Department Head of General Education, and PLTCOL ARIEL S BAIT, Department Head of Public Safety, attended the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) Study Exchange Programme held from February 5-9, 2024, at the Turkey National Police Academy (TNPA) in Ankara, Turkiye.

INTERPA was established in Istanbul, Turkey, on July 2, 2011, and PNPA has been a member of the INTERPA since 2020. The Study Visit on Exchanging Best Practices and Information served as a platform for participants to delve into law enforcement culture and explore various approaches and practices in combating crime, ensuring public security, and maintaining law and order.

During the study visit, the PNPA delegates had the opportunity to tour the facilities of the Anittepe Campus, Golbasi Campus, and the main Campus of TNPA.Key highlights of the activities were the sharing of information on how they combat crimes using the latest technology of their Counter-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, Counter Terrorism Department, and Counter Cyber Crimes Department.

The collaboration between TNPA and PNPA through INTERPA aims to foster ongoing exchange and sharing of best practices, building trust, initiating cooperation projects, and facilitating enduring learning and networking opportunities.
