Silang, Cavite- The week commenced brimming with motivation and clear guidance, setting the tone for productivity and purposeful strides toward common goals. The Philippine National Police Academy, under the leadership of PMGEN SAMUEL C NACION, Director, PNPA held a Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and 30th PNP Ethics Day Celebration with the Theme: “Serbisyong may Pagkakaisa, Integridad at Kasanayan Tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Pamayanan” on January 8, 2024, at the PNPA Campos Grandstand, Camp General Mariano N Castaneda, Silang, Cavite. The said activity was graced by the presence of Dir. Maria Theresa R. Poblador, Director II, Civil Service Commission Field Office-Cavite.
The PNP Ethics Day Celebration is a yearly activity pursuant to General Circular No. DHRDD 94-001 dated October 28, 1994 Paragraph 4 (Policy) states that the PNP Ethics Day must be celebrated every 7th day of January, starting January 1995; It must be celebrated PNP- wide, at all levels of Command-National Headquarters (NHQ), Police Regional Offices, National Support Units, District of National Capital Region Police Office, Provincial, City and Municipal Police Stations.
Following the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, a seminar on Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices, Ethical Leadership, and Values Formation participated by the PNPA Personnel and Cadets relative to the 30th PNPA Ethics Day Celebration. Additionally, a Thanksgiving Mass was held at the PNPA Chapel, uniting the Roman Catholic PNPA Personnel in prayerful gratitude.
In the keynote address of Director Maria Theresa R. Poblador, underscored the importance of Unity, Integrity, and Competence in fostering a harmonious and progressive society. She emphasized the collaborative essence where individuals converge towards a common goal, fostering mutual trust, and championing the delivery of quality public service. In her closing message, she said “Let us make for our supreme being and our love for our country the motivation and inspiration to uphold moral and ethical service to our fellow Filipino. Let us all serve with sincere compassion and be grateful for the opportunity to make a difference”.
The PNPA’s observance of the 30th PNP Ethics Day and the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment to ethical excellence, professional development, and societal progress.
