SILANG, CAVITE – Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Filipino languages and cultures, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) celebrated the culmination program of Buwan ng Wika 2023, showcasing the rich linguistic diversity of the Philippines. With the theme, “Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Wika ng Kapayapaan, Seguridad, at Ingklusibong Pagpapatupad ng Katarungang Panlipunan,” this year’s celebration was a resounding success, uniting cadets and guests in a grand celebration of language, culture, and unity.

Throughout the month-long celebration, the PNPA was abuzz with various activities that embraced the essence of Filipino language and heritage. These events included Malikhaing Pagtula, Paggawa ng Islogan, Tagisan ng Talino, Pagpipinta, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Tunog Pinoy, Laro ng Lahi, Hiyaw at Kantiyaw, Sabayang Pagbigkas, Katutubong Sayaw, and the highly anticipated Ginoo at Binibining Wika.

As the stars of the night dazzled on stage, Jail Cadet Alyssa Kaye Limosnero of Hawk Company was crowned as the Binibining Wika 2023, while Police Cadet Ronil Cloyd Bontor of Golf Company emerged as the Ginoong Wika 2023. Their remarkable performances and eloquence in expressing their appreciation for the Filipino language and culture captivated the hearts of the audience.

In the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie, each company vied for the title of ‘Overall Champion’. With points accumulated from the various events, Foxtrot Company emerged as the victor, showcasing their commitment to excellence in embracing their linguistic heritage. Alfa Company and Hawk Company also displayed remarkable performances, securing their spots as the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Adding a touch of celebrity glamour to the occasion, the famous Filipino event and flower designer, Mr. Jerry Sibal, graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker. His presence brought an aura of elegance and sophistication to the already dazzling celebration, inspiring cadets and guests alike to appreciate the beauty of Filipino culture.

The culmination program of Buwan ng Wika 2023 at the Philippine National Police Academy was more than just a showcase of linguistic prowess; it was a testament to the enduring value of Filipino heritage and the role of language in fostering peace, security, and inclusive social justice.
