Silang, Cavite— On June 20, 2023, the top 12 PNPA cadet finalists for the Police Cadet Essay Competition arrived at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) accompanied by Dr. Cecile Noble, Contest Coordinator, and Dr. Vivian A Gonzales, the esteemed founder of Student’s Transformation and Enrichment for Truth-Values Integration and Promotion (STET-VIP) Inc. This visit marked the grand final and unannounced on-the-spot essay writing that will determine the three fortunate winners advancing to the International Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Out of 201 entries,12 cadet finalists from Layag-Diwa Class of 2024 and Sinaglawin Class of 2025 have successfully emerged from a rigorous selection process that involved several rounds of evaluation. These exemplary cadets have demonstrated their commitment to ethical conduct, professionalism, and dedication to public service.

The finalists were warmly welcomed at the UNODC headquarters in Mandaluyong City. The UNODC, as a leading global authority on drug control, crime prevention, and criminal justice, provides an appropriate setting for the cadets to engage in discussions on ethics and integrity.

The awarding ceremony for the grand winners of the said contest is scheduled on July 21, 2023.
