Silang, Cavite — After a four-year hiatus, the Philippine National Police Academy once again hosted the much-coveted PNPA Resurgence Run 2022 in front of the Administration Building on December 18, 2022, in partnership with Run Mania Philippines with the aim of forging camaraderie between cadets and runners from various sectors of the community.
The event was compered by the Academy way back year 2019. It was dubbed before as the PNPA Uphill Challenge, a challenging tourney that pitted the best runners from different running groups across the nation, along with the cadets and personnel of the academy.
Out of all the elite runners vying for supremacy in the competition, CDT 3C JUSTINE JADE CALPAHI notched the first-place plum in the female category, further proving that cadets inside PNPA are not just inclined in academics and tactics but also are excellent in the field of athletics and sports. CDT 3C JOYCE REALUYO also placed third in the tournament, solidifying the corps of cadets’ prowess in marathon run and other sporting activities.
The momentous event was also attended by delegates the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, other PNP Personnel around Region IV-A, and different marathon and running groups from CALABARZON. The spirit of sportsmanship was highlighted in the competition as all the runners mingled with each other, building comradeship, and more importantly, enjoying the rest of the run.
“It was really a fun and intense activity. More than the medal that I have garnered, it is all about maintaining my physical fitness in order for me to be a more proactive cadet of this prestigious institution” CDT 3C CALPAHI said after the event. “I am looking forward to future activities such as this because it is a great groundwork for the academy to build good relations with other sector of the society” she added.
