Camp Crame, Quezon City— The Chief of the Philippine National Police, PGEN Rodolfo S Azurin, donned the second “star” upon the Director/Superintendent of the Philippine National Police Academy, along with fellow promotes PBGEN Christopher C Birung, Chief of Staff and Commandant of Cadets, PBGEN Jaysen C De Guzman, during a simple ceremony on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Multi-Purpose Center of the National Headquarters.

Police Major General Eric E. Noble is a proud member of the illustrious Philippine Military Academy TANGLAW-DIWA Class of 1992. In his more than three decades in the PNP, his service reputation bespeaks that of a man of public service. He has served various units and was a Chief of Police in Munai MPS, Lanao Del Norte PPO as his first stint. He then became the Company Commander of the Albay Provincial Mobile Force Company; Chief of Police of Dasmariñas MPS before being part of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo. Upon his return in 2011 he then became the Chief of Police of Meycauayan in Bulacan. He would later become the Acting Chief of PRO 1’s Comptrollership Division before being entrusted the position as the Police Attache in the United States in 2017. Thereafter, he was the Provincial Director of Cebu in 2017 and then joined the Command Group of Police Regional Office 3 as Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Administration respectively. He was the Executive Officer of the Directorate for Police Community Relations in 2020 before being designated as the Director of the Police Community Affairs and Development Group.

His stellar work in the PNP did not go unnoticed as he was a recipient of various awards and recognition such as the Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod, Best Senior PCO for Administration; Presidential Lingkod ng Bayan Awardee by the Civil Service Commission in 2009; an Alumnus of the prestigious Metrobank Foundation, Inc.’s Top Outstanding Policeman in the Service. He was also awarded the Medal of Heroism back in the days when he was still with the 444th Mobile Force Company for the successful negotiation and return to the folds of the law of 18 MILF members led by Kumander Mamayandug Digma. All these on top of hundreds of awards, medals and recognitions that he has received in his prolific career.

Sharing this feat are his wife, Dr. Cecilia Dionco Noble and their wonderful son, Philippine Coast Guard Ensign Eric Joseph Noble who is an alumnus of the United States Coast Guard Academy.

PMGEN ERIC ESCOSIO NOBLE is indeed a man of distinction, a public servant, and a great leader to his fellow. Now being entrusted with the task of steering the country’s premier police higher education in the country as its 31st Director of the Philippine National Police Academy, one can only be ascertained that he has more to offer out of his love for God, country and people.
