PNPA PRESS RELEASE CONTROL NO. 2022-19
AUTHORITY: PBGEN ERIC E NOBLE, Director, PNPA
ACTION OFFICER: PLTCOL LOUIE DC GONZAGA, Chief, Public Information Office
DATE: October 4, 2022
Silang, Cavite—Thanks to the Academy and their parents, the cadets at the Philippine National Police Academy have a solid foundation. Mr Glenn Francis Yu, President and CEO of SEAOIL Philippines and Chairman of Pamilya Muna Pilipinas, has emphasized the importance of a diverse range of clubs and organizations in preparing Cadets to be effective leaders.
Mr Yu who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the launching of the Cadets Club Day last October 1, 2022 believes that the numerous opportunities for cadets to join clubs and organizations, which can provide them with a wealth of information in their fields of interest, are the most important factors in fostering the development of their best virtue.
Cadets learn from their experiences, and as they are introduced to various clubs and organizations, they gain an understanding of how these organizations can assist them in their future roles as public safety officers. The PNPA invests time and energy into educating and training cadets with each step it takes to become a more reputable institution. The opportunities provided by clubs and organizations, such as team training, technical training, and other leadership training, benefit each cadet’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Mr. Glenn Francis Yu opens club day at the Philippine National Police Academy, telling the cadets that their “families are the most important thing in the world because they give them purpose and direction in life and increase their chances of success.” Mr. Yu also emphasized the importance of the “triangle of a cadet’s success:” vision, allies for the journey, and tools. Creating this Club Day is the ideal solution for a progressive and somewhat competitive environment. This is significant because it will be the first time that plebes (freshmen) can actively join and participate in club activities. This also improves cadets’ abilities as students and future officers of the country. “Knowing isn’t enough,” said PBEN Eric E Noble, Director of the Philippine National Police Academy, “so we’re always looking for new ways for cadets to use the knowledge they have and maximize their full potential.” (PNPA-PIO)
