February 12, 2014- PNPA’s Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony momentously concluded the Director’s Cup 2024 Shooting Competition held last February 9–11. Under PMGEN SAMUEL C. NACION, Director, the Philippine National Police Academy successfully hosted 468 PNPA members, cadets, law enforcement officers, and civilian gun enthusiasts for the tournament on the skillfully prepared shooting range courses. The first day of the competition featured a Pre-match involving PNPA personnel and cadets. The winners were recognized during the aforementioned ceremony while the speaker of the day, PLTCOL ROMEO V SUPAPO JR, Chief, Academy Health Service gave word of encouragement by advocating active and healthy lifestyle. On the other hand, Director’s Cup formal program during the second day featured the PNPA Director’s motivating message about skill, discipline, and friendship in competition. PBGEN WILLIAM S MACAVINTA (Ret), PCOL JASON CAPOY, PBGEN JONATHAN CABAL, MR. JUN CATALAN, and MJ CATALAN opened the ceremonial shoot. Competitive shooting began with the stage shooting area opening. On the last day of the tournament, shooters from all divisions and rankings battled for top honors in their categories, demonstrating their marksmanship and firearm competence.

The PNPA Director’s Cup 2024 was a huge success, promoting competitive excellence, friendship, and professionalism in law enforcement’s highest discipline principles. The raised funds will help improve the PNPA Shooting Range Lounge. The PNPA event was memorable and successful because to the participants, organizers, and supporters’ passion and commitment.
