Silang, Cavite—In a show of respect and appreciation, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), under the leadership of PMGEN SAMUEL C NACION, Director of PNPA, led the Testimonial Parade and Review in honor of PBGEN LYNDON A MENCIO, Chief of the Firearms and Explosives Office of the Civil Security Group. The event was overseen by PLTGEN RHODERICK C ARMAMENTO, Commander of the Area Police Command, Southern Luzon, and was attended by PBGEN MENCIO’s family, friends, and colleagues. It took place at the BGen Cicero Campos Grandstand, Camp General Mariano N Castaneda, Silang, Cavite, on the morning of February 3, 2024.

In his more than three decades of public service, PBGEN MENCIO has served in various units of the Philippine National Police, setting a high standard of excellence and upholding the values of courage, integrity, justice, honor, and service to the nation. He was a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy and a proud member of the PNPA “TAGAPAMAYAPA” Class of 1990.

PBGEN MENCIO was born on March 8, 1968, in the City of Pines. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Saint Louis University in 1988 and earned a Master’s Degree in Management from Philippine Christian University in 2013.

He began his message by quoting from an anonymous author, “Diamonds are made under sheer heat and pressure,” reflecting on his journey as a cadet singing the famous song “Impossible Dream,” internalizing the PNPA motto “To learn today. To lead tomorrow,” that he never imagining that one day he would finally reach the unreachable star. He also quoted Max de Pree, who said, “We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are,” and ITOHAN EGHIDE, who said, “Bond is stronger than blood. The family grows stronger by bond.”

The Philippine National Police Academy and the broader law enforcement community unite in celebrating PBGEN LYNDON A MENCIO’s outstanding achievements and enduring dedication to public service.
