Silang, Cavite – After seven months of relentless training and grueling stages to become refined gentlemen and ladies of the long maroon line, the PNPA SANDIKHAIN Class of 2027 have finally received the sought-after handshake of their upperclassmen in their monumental Recognition Rites at the BGen Cicero Campos Grandstand, Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda, Silang, Cavite on January 20, 2024. Graced by the presence of Secretary ROMAN A. FELIX, Presidential Adviser for Military and Police Affairs as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHS), together with PMGEN SAMUEL C NACION, Director PNPA.

The processing of Class 2027 began with 21,636 applicants, of whom only 966 passed the 2022 PNPA Cadet Admission Test from the sixteen regions. After the series of processes, 268 took their oath as a new cadet on June 1, 2023. After seven months of rigid training, only the strong 212 remained persistent, were able to continue their journey, and were recognized by their upperclassmen. The members of Class 2027 stood proudly and firmly in front of their families, friends, and loved ones who had longed for their presence as they embarked on their journey inside the portals of the Academy.

The Recognition Rites is one of the vital stages in the life of a cadet inside the academy. It is the time wherein all the sacrifices and efforts of the fourth-class men will be recognized and wholeheartedly appreciated by their upperclassmen who served as their mentors in their stay inside the revered educational institution of the country. From being dubbed as “Sheep” or “New Cadets”, they will now be moved up and become members of the upper-class corps. They will hold new cadet duties, further molding their character and well-being as they will soon become reliable police officers who will champion the interest of the general public.

In the message from Secretary ROMAN A. FELIX, he emphasized the importance of loyalty in the service. He also extended his message to the recognized cadets, urging them to strive for excellence and uphold the ideals that define the PNP: SERVICE, HONOR, and JUSTICE.

The 212 strong members of PNPA Class 2027 will continue to uphold the culture of excellence set forth by this premier institution. Along with their triumph and success come newfangled responsibilities as they continue to traverse the path in becoming reliable leaders of the nation.
