To provide comprehensive education and training programs to transform cadets into God-centered, community responsive Public Safety Officers trusted and respected by the people.
The Philippine National Police Academy lives by its commitment to produce highly-skilled officers who are expected to serve as catalysts of societal modification towards building a more prosperous and safer nation by reverberating the institution’s core values: Justice, Integrity and Service.
By the Grace of God in 2030, the PNPA shall be the premier educational institution, molding professional and community service-oriented public safety leaders in South East Asia.
Non-Academic courses are aimed to further enhance the cadets’ skills in the different areas deemed salient in public safety. These include marksmanship and combative sports. Meanwhile, through drills and ceremonies, cadets build up discipline and improve their skills not only by physical training but also through drills that require proper, precise, and powerful execution of movements. Also, they are being raised under the doctrine of Honor Code; cadets do not lie, cheat, steal nor tolerate among them those who do. These future officers are also being taught with proper etiquette that should be observed during formal gatherings they are expected to attend in the future.
PNPA’S academic curriculum is composed of subjects centered in core competencies in policing, law, humanities and public safety. The Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Program is geared towards producing highly-competent cadets who will soon take the lead in the tri-bureau. Further, cadets are trained to employ Community and Service-Oriented Policing: to connect with the community and to strengthen the police-community relationship towards successful peacekeeping and progressive cooperation essential to nation-building.
The institution breeds future leaders of the nation through leadership and character development programs that expands the horizon of cadets and their capacity to perform managing tasks and organizational developments.
Cadets’ management style is honed with the designations given to them. In addition to their duty to study, they are vested with the responsibilities of Regimental, Battalion and Company Cadet Officers, Platoon Leaders, Squad Leaders, or as Cadets-in-Charge of the different organizations inside the Academy.
PNPA is the breeding ground of future leaders of character who are national in scope and civilian in character
