Silang, Cavite—As part of its Distinguished Visitors Program, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) led by the Director/Superintendent PBGEN Samuel C Nacion had the honor of welcoming esteemed Guest of Honor and Speaker , Senator Mark Villar, at the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony. Senator Villar, known for his unending support to the men and women in uniform, took this opportunity to emphasize his TIKAS program, which aims to uplift communities in the Kalayaan Islands Group through infrastructure development, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of National Defense.
During the ceremony, Senator Mark Villar expressed his unwavering commitment to supporting our uniformed personnel, acknowledging their dedication and sacrifice in serving our country. The TIKAS program, also known as Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad, holds a paramount role in his vision to provide infrastructure that will significantly improve the lives of the communities in the Kalayaan Islands Group situated in the West Philippine Sea.
“As we continue to pursue progress and development, we must not forget the importance of uplifting our fellow countrymen in all corners of our nation. Through the TIKAS program, we aim to bring tangible improvements and positive transformations to the lives of those residing in the Kalayaan Islands Group,” stated Senator Mark Villar in his address.
The TIKAS program aligns with the senator’s unwavering dedication to fostering peace and security in the region, reinforcing national sovereignty, and promoting economic growth and prosperity. Through strategic infrastructure development, the program seeks to create opportunities and enhance the overall well-being of the local communities.
Moreover, Senator Villar extended his gratitude and admiration to both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel for their selfless commitment and sacrifices in upholding the safety and security of the nation.
As a strong advocate for education and leadership development, Senator Mark Villar also expressed his support to the cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy, recognizing them as the future leaders of the Philippine National Police and the communities they serve. He vowed to support the academy’s future development plans to ensure it continues to produce highly capable and responsible law enforcement officers.
