PCDT Marc Joseph L. Vitto, 24, from Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, is the proud Top 1 of the SINAGLAWIN Class of 2025. Raised by a disciplinarian mother and a humble police officer father, he struggled with school early on but found motivation in making his parents proud. He graduated valedictorian in both elementary and high school, where he also developed his leadership and communication skills.

Initially pursuing a pre-medical course in Manila, Marc faced financial difficulties and emotional struggles, especially after being denied a scholarship and eventually losing his apartment. At his lowest point, he came across a PNPA advertisement that redirected his path. Despite failing his first attempt, he persevered and succeeded the second time, earning a spot in the Philippine National Police Academy.

Inside the Academy, Marc endured the challenges of cadet life and the pandemic through faith and resilience. He rose to several leadership roles, including Cadet-in-Charge of the Corps Publication, First Battalion Standard Officer, and member of the Silent Drill Company. He even represented the Philippines in an international conference in the U.S.

For Marc, the toughest battle was keeping a strong mind in the face of constant pressure. He believes that discipline, positivity, and self-mastery are key to surviving and thriving at the Academyโ€”and in life.
