Silang, CaviteโIn yet another milestone, Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) played host to two cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point on June 15, 2023, as part of an interaction and benchmarking program designed to improve collaboration and strengthen partnerships between cadets of the two academies. The visit was an opportunity for Cadet 1C Allen Dasilao of USMA Class of 2024 and Cadet 2C Rafael Muรฑoz of Class 2025 to gain insights into the PNPA’s training programs while providing an avenue for them to share ideas on best practices. They were also joined by a West Point alumnus Capt Darrell Peebles (Ret) of the United States Army and a member of Class 1978.
The program was initiated by USEC Ronald Gian Carlo Cardema, the hardworking Chairman of the National Youth Commission, (a member of the PNPA Advisory Board and an Honorary Member of PNPA Class 2015) reflecting the importance of interaction between cadets of the different service academies to benchmark from each other. PMGen Eric E. Noble, Director of the PNPA appreciated the visit as it helps to build collaborative relationships amongst institutions to improve training programs and enhance the development of future leaders of the Philippine National Police.
Benchmarking the best practices among service academies is highly important as it allows for the identification of groundbreaking training programs and practices that can be adopted for better results across organizations. By fostering interaction and collaboration among the cadets of different service academies, we can create a collective effort labeled towards excellence in training and education.
