Silang Cavite—The Philippine National Police Academy led by its dynamic Director, PMGEN ERIC ESCOSIO NOBLE, accorded an overwhelming traditional honors befitting to a seasoned officer PMGEN ROLANDO E OLAY, the Director for Logistics, in a Testimonial Parade and Review on April 28, 2023 at the BGen Cicero Campos field.
PMGEN OLAY is a proud member of PMA “Bigkis-Lahi” Class of 1990. PMGEN OLAY assumed various key positions in the differrent field units and offices. He was erstwhile the PNP Spokesperson, PNP Deputy Director for Operations and National Capital Region Police Office Deputy Director for Administration. Also briefly served as Director of the PNP Health Service and Deputy Director for Comptrollership in 2020. He led the Cagayan Police Provincial Office as its director from 2014 to 2016 and served as Director of the Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Battalion and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) District Office in Eastern Metro Manila, and as Assistant Chief of the CIDG Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crimes Division. He also served his best stint of his career at the PNP Maritime Group.
“Though I am not a product of this noble institution, I made it a point to visit you before I finally retire because I know the PNPA is the premier source of officers of our beloved PNP organization. As some of you will be future members of the PNP nurture each other so all of you will learn, grow and bloom as future officers of the PNP.” PMGEN OLAY said.
“I was once like you my dear cadets, full of promise, of excitement and of dreams and visions of what will happen after my graduation after hearing the stories of my tactical officers, from the Commandant and of course the Superintendent. But more importantly, you have to learn to deal with the ups and downs of your respective careers when you are already in the service”, he added.
PMGEN OLAY concluded the meaningful event through his remarkable advice to the Cadet Corps,”…as you start your life in the police service…take good care of your career reputation as it will define your later in your career path – as you go up the ladder of your respective careers. As they say, your will reap what you sow. The people you meet early in your career are also the same people you will meet as you go up the ladder. As you start your career, you should also start building your own family. Choose a wife to help you build your dreams together. Always take good care of your family. At the end of the day, and at the end of your career, you always go back to the loving arms of your spouse and your family. Strike a good balance between your career and your family”. ###
