PNPA PRESS RELEASE CONTROL NO. 2022-17

AUTHORITY: PBGEN ERIC E NOBLE, Director, PNPA

ACTION OFFICER: PLTCOL LOUIE DC GONZAGA, Chief, Public Information Office

DATE: September 24, 2022

Silang, Caviteβ€”It is said that the formula for credibility is quite simple, and that it should include both values and actions. One can stand out from the crowd by demonstrating that they are capable of putting their values into practice. To put it another way, you need to make it crystal clear to the people you serve as well as the people you lead what you stand for, what your fundamental values and morals are, and how you behave in the real world.

The Cadet Corps, stood proudly as they accorded a Testimonial Parade and Review on September 23, 2022, in honor of PGEN Rodolfo S. Azurin, Jr., the 28th Chief of the Philippine National Police, at the BGen Cicero Campos Field inside the premier police higher education institution. It is a fitting testament to the credibility he has established through his values and actions that are worthy of emulation during his nearly 37 years of distinguished service in the military and police.

PGEN Azurin, who championed the Malasakit+Kaaayusan+Kapayapaan=Kaunlaran Thrust in response to the National Government’s quest for a better country, believes that β€œthe community and the police will always bear a portion of the responsibility for maintaining peace and order in any given setting. These primary actors must maintain their interdependent and mutually beneficial relationship. He also wants to empower citizens to participate at the grassroots level in order to build community support for the promotion of peace and order through the suppression of criminality, local insurgency, and terrorism. As a result, it asserts that participation in community activities is essential because every member is both responsible for and affected by safety and security issues.”

In his address to the audience, which was simultaneously broadcast on the Official PNP Facebook Page, the Chief PNP further stated, “Sa aking pamumuno sa buong hanay ng kapulisan, katuwang ninyo po kami sa hangarin ng isang MAAYOS, MAPAYAPA, at MAY MALASAKIT sa bawat Pilipino para sa isang maunlad na bansa,” an assertion of his full faith and commitment to nation-building.

He also oversaw the opening of the Academics Hall, Tatak PNPA Comfort Rooms, Mess Hall Kitchen, Cadet Barracks B-81, Visitor’s Lounge, COMMEL Building, Academics PCAI Hall, Grandstand Comfort Room, Crime Scene Plaza, Classroom Building B-43, and Mess Hall Kitchen Extension, all of which coincided with the Chief PNP’s visit.

Among the highlights, PGEN Azurin was presented with the winning painting of Second Class Cadets Canindo and Jairi with the title “Pagtanaw” in this year’s Buwan ng Wika Activities. A Testimonial Dinner was also held in his honor, with PBGEN Noble presenting the status of the various projects, programs, and policy reforms being implemented in PNPA.
