Quezon City, Philippines—The graduation ceremony of the Strategic Civil-Military Operations Officers’ Online Course Class 22-23 which includes 11 Police Commissioned Officers from PNPA took place on June 15, 2023 at Camp Emilio F Aguinaldo, organized by the Civil Relations Service Armed Forces of the Philippines. This online course spanned eight weeks and aimed to hone the skills and knowledge of the officers-participants in civil-military operations.

The ceremony was graced by Hon. Eduardo R Ermita, former Executive Secretary and National Security Adviser, who delivered the commencement address. The attendees included Gen. Andres Centeno, CSAFP, other officials, and distinguished guests. In his speech, Hon. Ermita highlighted the significance of civil-military operations in ensuring peace and security not just in the country but also around the world.

The graduation ceremony also celebrated the outstanding performance of the graduates who received awards for their excellent work during the course. PMGen Eric E. Noble takes pride that the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) group participants excelled in various categories, including:

– Highest Rating (100%) in Propaganda and Issue Analysis

– Best in Strategic Communications Snapshot

– Best in Area Study; and

– Best in CMO Plan

These awards underscore the importance of having well-rounded civil-military officers equipped with the necessary skills to tackle various situations effectively. The graduates’ hard work, determination, and perseverance have paid off, and they are now ready to apply their newfound knowledge and skills.

The impact of the Strategic Civil-Military Operations Officer’s Online Course Class 22-23 will be significant in enhancing the military and uniformed services capacity to address various issues. The course has provided participants with practical skills to develop strategies and plans tailored to diverse communities. It has also strengthened the partnership between the military and civil societies, providing a framework for collaboration between the two.
