COMMISSIONERS of the National Police Commission said the curriculum of the Philippine National Police Academy is more pertinent to the needs of the contemporary and developing policing system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commissioners Ricardo P. Bernabe III and Beatrice Aurora A. Vega-Cancio emphasized the value of \u201ccompetency-based education that will help student-cadets to develop and demonstrate mastery over organizational requirements while building a culture of equity and inclusivity, and prepares them for the real McCoy outside of the Academy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two officials visited the PNPA on Tuesday and were welcomed by officials, personnel and cadets led by Brigadier General Eric E. Noble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were briefed on the capabilities, infrastructure projects and other significant activities at the academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cProfessors who are in charge of molding the cadets academically must possess competency as it plays a vital role in well development of student-cadets and in ensuring quality learning in consideration of their career in the Philippine National Police,\u201d Vega-Cancio said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that the commission will provide any help possible to achieve this goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PNPA was assured of Napolcom\u2019s help to make sure that it upholds its standards as the nation\u2019s top police academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a positive development, and we look forward to more improvement in the coming months that will be for the institution\u2019s betterment,\u201d Noble said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOther courses besides the Bachelor of Science in Public Safety could be offered, such as in management, public administration, and other fields that would ultimately be beneficial to the organization and the people it serves\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
