The Philippine National Police Academy proudly celebrates the graduation of the SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026, a class defined by resilience, perseverance, and academic distinction, in ceremonies graced by HIS EXCELLENCY, FERDINAND BONGBONG ROMUALDEZ MARCOS JR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The journey of the class began with the Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) conducted on December 28\u201329, 2021, across 34 testing centers nationwide. A total of 33,036 applicants registered, with 26,509 examinees taking the test\u2014marking the highest turnout in PNPA history. This milestone was achieved despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastation of Typhoon Odette, underscoring the unwavering commitment of Filipino youth to public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From this vast pool, only 1,871 applicants successfully passed the examination, yielding a passing rate of 7.06 percent. Following a rigorous screening and selection process, 439 cadets took their oath on June 3, 2022. Of these, 379 underwent incorporation rites on August 26, 2022. After months of intensive and transformative training, 374 cadets reached the recognition stage. Today, 326 cadets\u2014comprising 230 males and 96 females\u2014successfully complete their journey and proudly graduate, ready to serve as
Police Commissioned Officers with the rank of Police Lieutenants in the Philippine National Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The graduating class represents a diverse and academically capable group: 15 are college graduates, 257 are college undergraduates, and 54 are senior high school graduates. Their collective dedication, discipline, and perseverance have prepared them to meet the evolving demands of police service and leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Demonstrating exceptional academic excellence, the SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026 set a historic record, with 85 cadets earning a place on the Dean\u2019s List during the First Term of Academic Year 2022\u20132023\u2014the highest number achieved by a single class in PNPA history. This achievement reflects their strong commitment to intellectual growth and professional excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leading the class is an outstanding exemplary of determination and excellence. Breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated institution, POLICE CADET VAN MARIE EDITHA GUNDAYA CAGASAN, a 24-year-old from Baybay City, Leyte, emerges as the Top 1 graduate among the 326 members of the SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026. Her achievement stands as a testament to courage, discipline, and the unwavering spirit of service to the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As they step forward into their roles in public safety, the members of the SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026 carry with them the values of integrity, honor, and service\u2014ready to uphold the mission of the Philippine National Police and contribute to a safer and more secure Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
