Silang, Cavite \u2013 Great leaders fulfill their roles in advocating peace and innovation. In support to the aim of creating a nationwide venue for mass organizing and mobilization of advocacies, bringing forth inclusive progress and community development, and establishing a platform of collaborative partnership, the Philippine National Police Academy, headed by PMGEN Eric E Noble, Director, hosted the first nationwide summit of the Salaam Police Advocacy Group (SPAG) with the theme \u201cB.I.D.A. ang SPAG sa KASIMBAYANAN\u201d, March 4, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The SPAG is a nationwide movement of Islamic faith-based advocates of religious tolerance, brotherhood, peace, inclusive development, and community empowerment. This advocacy is in support to the Buhay Ingatan, Droga\u2019y Iwasan (BIDA) program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Whole-of-Nation-Approach towards building communities\u2019 resilience to illegal drugs abuse and violent extremism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the program, 400 members of the SPAG joined the collective signing of the \u201cManifesto of Support to BIDA and Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism and Terrorism (PCVET)\u201d. The awarding of SPAG Chapters\/Individuals and PNP units who have championed the advocacy of moderation, harmony, and religious tolerance was also conducted thereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Present on the said summit were Hon. Alston Kevin Anarna, Mayor, Silang Cavite, along with PBGEN Arnel Amor Libed, Deputy Director, DPCR, PBGEN Christopher C Birung, DD, PNPA, PLTGEN Rhodel O Sermonia, TDCA, and ATTY Lord Villanueva, USEC for Operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
