San Miguel, Bulacan\u2014With the theme \u201cFSRR @72: Dedication to Duty and Selfless Service to the Nation,\u201d the Philippine National Police Academy Shooting Team participated in the 72nd Founding Anniversary Invitational Shoot Fest at First Scout Ranger Regiment Integrated Firing Range, Camp Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan on November 12-13 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event is intended to engage with stakeholders and colleagues from the uniformed service while also raising a modest amount of money to help the FSRR Integrated Firing Range’s improvement and to mark the regiment’s 72nd founding anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ninety-three participants comprising of Police Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers including cadets from Philippine Military Academy, Philippine Merchant Marine Academy and other organizations present, Police Cadet Gonzales ranked 14th place in the shoot fest. He ousted other highly-skilled participants to bring prestige and glory to the Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PNPA Shooting team is bannered by the cream of the crop or the best of the best when it comes to firing and marksmanship inside the academy namely CDT 1C Corpuz, CDT 1C Reyes, CDT 1C Palicas, CDT 1C Limbawan, CDT 1C Liddawa, CDT 1C Bautista, CDT 1C Aminajar, CDT 1C Matilla, CDT 1C Palo, CDT 1C Vidal and CDT 3C Pagharion with the guidance of PCOL Rex Arvin T Malimban and PEMS Paguntalan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although the PNPA Shooting Team participated in many firing events, this is the first time that the team took part in the FSRR Shoot Fest. CDT 1C Limbawan said it was his first time attending this kind of competition and it was indeed a great experience for him. On the other hand, CDT 1C Vidal said she enjoyed blasting bullets into the target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo represent PNPA is such an honor and responsibility. It was through this activity that we were able to hone and showcase our talents and skills. It is not easy to compete, knowing you are up against veterans of the field. Despite this setback and our inadequate training, however, it was our earnest aim to let it not affect our game as proud representatives of the Academy,\u201d CDT 1C Corpuz stated after the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is really a great opportunity for us to hone our skills and capabilities in the art of marksmanship\u201d CDT 1C Aminajar said after his masterful performance. \u201cI know that this experience will serve as a vital key for me to become a well-rounded police officer in the nation with an ultimate aim of enforcing the law and preventing crimes and chaos in our respective communities\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
