Visit of Cong. Jorge Antonio “PATROL” Bustos of PNPA KAAGAPAY CLASS OF 1996

One of PNPA’s Distinguished Lakan, Cong. Jorge Antonio “PATROL” Bustos of PNPA KAAGAPAY CLASS OF 1996 paid a visit back to his beloved alma mater on Friday, May 20, 2021, In a flag lowering ceremony held at Camp General Mariano N. Castaneda, Silang, Cavite. Cong. Bustos was the guest of Honor of Speaker during the program which was led by the Director, PNPA, PMGEN Rhoderick C Armamento.

The activity, which was attended by PATROL Party-List delegates, as well as the PNPA Command Group and other personnel, highlighted the visit of the lead man of the Party-List in his visit in the PNPA. The Director introduced the guest of honor and speaker to the cadets and other visitors present during the ceremony. PMGEN Armamento also emphasized the path of Cong. Bustos as a public officer to reaching the legislative branch of the government.

In his message, Cong.“Patrol” Bustos expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome that he received from the academy in his visit and featured his strategy wherein the public safety is the concern of everyone. He emphasized in his message the importance of every member of the society being involved in public safety and stated that it would be easier to create a safe environment which would lead to economic and social growth. He also reminded the Corps of Cadets that they are the “leaders of the future”. Further, he announced in his speech the granting of 200 million pesos allocation for the Camp Development of the academy. He ended his message by reminding the Cadets that they are not just Public Safety Practitioners, but rather Peace Makers and Future Nation Builders.

PNPA’s key officials presented Cong. Bustos future infrastructure projects aimed at developing the facilities of the academy for the improvement of the cadets’ education and training. The PNPA’s Modernization Program was also presented to the magnetic congressman. Afterwards, he, along with PMGEN Armamento along with PNPA’s officials, as well as other visitors joined in the dinner with the cadets which was held at the PNPA Cadet Mess Hall.

His donations to the academy’s projects will be essential in further improving the quality of training and education of the country’s premier public safety learning institution. As the main source of the finest Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Bureau, this will be instrumental in keeping the academy’s strong foothold in producing capable individuals as future public safety leaders.

Grounds for Medical Disqualifications:

  • Defective Visual Perception (color blindness, near sighted/far sighted with corrective eyeglasses or lens, nystagmus);
  • Physical Deformities Example: bowlegged or congenital defects;
  • Perforated ear drum, chronic sinusitis, bleeding tendencies, hemorrhoids, hernia (if not treated), varicocele, extensive skin disorders;
  • History of heart disease, hypertension, asthma, active PTB, kidney and liver diseases, epileptic seizure disorders, major operations; communicable diseases (such as AIDS, Hepatitis, VD etc.);
  • Full dentures, upper and lower, Cleft lip and palate, malocclusion, Deformities of the face, Open bite, Tongue-tied, missing of four(4) anterior or front teeth & Missing of six (6) posterior/molar teeth;
  • Tattoos or other brotherhood marks;
  • Ear piercing for male and multiple ear piercing for female;
  • For Females: Goiter; History of pregnancy; Presence of breast mass; Painful menstruation;
  • Any other similar defects which may hinder in the Cadetship Training Program.

Applicants who successfully passed the PNPACAT shall qualify to the next phase of screening which as follows:

1) Physical Agility Test (PAT);

Initial Requirements (Do not apply if you are not qualified):

  • Natural born Filipino citizen;
  • Eighteen (18) to twenty-two (22) years old on the date of appointment;
  • Single with no parental obligation;
  • At least Senior High School graduate upon admission;
  • At least 5 feet and 4 inches (162.5cm.) for male and 5 feet and 2 inches (157.5 cm.) for female in height;
  • With weight that corresponds to the applicant’s height, gender and age (in reference to BMI);
  • Physically and mentally fit to undergo the Cadetship Program;
  • With good moral character (no criminal, administrative and civil derogatory record;
  • Without pending complaint and/or case before any tribunal involving moral turpitude and other cases against the State;
  • Not a former cadet of PNPA, or other service academies (PMA, PMMA, MAAP);
  • Not have been dismissed from any private employment or government position for cause;
  • Exemption for PNPACAT(Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test):
    Senior High School with highest honors, and college summa cum laude, magna cum laude, cum laude and are exempt from taking the Cadet Admission Test (written) provided, he/she shall apply and submit the application form with certification of honor from his/her School/ College/ University to reach PNPA Registrar’s Office before the end of the announced application period. Provided also, that he/she satisfies the initial requirements for admission.
