Silang, Cavite – PNPA bids farewell to their Commandant of Cadets, PBGEN WILFREDO PALACI CAYAT as he bows-out from service for reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56.
PBGEN RHODERICK C ARMAMENTO, Acting Director of PNPA expressed his gratitude to Gen Cayat for his invaluable service rendered to the police academy and among others for building among the cadets a strong foundation of character, discipline, and leadership. Gen Cayat was PNPA Commandant of Cadets from July 29, 2019 to December 1, 2020 (16 months and 2 days).

PCOL ARCADIO A JAMORA JR is the newly installed Commandant of Cadets by virtue of PNP General Orders Number NHQ-GO-DES-2020-2868. COL JAMORA assumed office earlier in a simple ceremony presided by the Acting Director, PNPA. He is a classmate of the outgoing commandant, belonging to PNPA Class 1991.

PBGEN CAYAT, a dedicated SAF veteran and a Force Reconnaissance Course graduate of the Philippine Marine Corps. Known in 1997 for restoring peace and order and the conduct of police operation against the use of explosive components by miners in their operation of mining gold in Mount Diwalwal, Davao Del Norte under the Reconnaissance Company of the Special Action Force. He was also a former police provincial director of Sulu, that recovered a government-owned armored tank to a known politician without any conflict/blood-shed.
