“The measure of true kindness is often revealed in those challenging instances when we must rise above the impulse toward its opposite, ignited by fear and anger and despair” -Maria Popova.
The Chief, Bureau of Fire Protection, FDIR JOSE SEGUNDO EMBANG JR, led the event “Gabi ng Pasasalamat” on Oct 28, 2020 as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The said event was held at Philippine National Police Academy, Camp Gen Mariano N Castañeda in Silang, Cavite along with its Director, PMGEN GILBERTO DELA CRUZ CRUZ, Chairman, PNPAAAI, PBGEN WILLIAM SOLANO MACAVINTA (RET), other distinguished guests, and donors.

An evening parade was showcased by the cadets to give tribute for the Lakans, individuals and groups, other stakeholders who generously donated to PNPA. On the other hand, FDIR EMBANG extended his heartfelt gratitude to all donors by giving tokens of appreciation to each and every one of them.
“This pandemic brought adversities not only to the Filipino people but also to the economic state of the country. As graduate of the academy, we are addressed as FRONTLINERS in which there are additional responsibilities for the community. This is just an example pertaining the importance of molding leaders in the tri-bureau,” FDIR EMBANG said.
He added that “We shall surpass this pandemic as long as we unite and help each other. Let us always keep in our hearts and minds that we are Lakans.”

The recent 249 Covid-19 recoveries made the PNPA Covid-free up to date. This was the result of the efforts done by PMGEN CRUZ and by the continuous support through donations from different alumni, Lakan organizations, individual aids, and other stakeholders. Some of the donations were intended for the development and construction of numerous facilities such as classrooms, obstacle course, and cadet statue. It is the way how Lakans give back to their Alma Mater for the betterment of the academy, cadets, and aspiring cadets.
